Dr. Nirish Vaidya is a consultant physician and a faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital, Dhulikhel. He received his primary medical education, MBBS, then a specialty in Internal Medicine, MD from the same institution. He has also received a postgraduate medical diploma, MRCP (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Currently, he is dedicated to patients with respiratory illnesses.
Dr. Vaidya had been one of the recipients of the Brian Chapman Scholarship award to participate in an international course in medicine for older adults in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2017. He also received advanced training in respiratory procedures from Germany in 2022.
Dr. Vaidya is a life member of the Nepal Medical Association and the Society of Internal Medicine of Nepal. He has also been associated as a member of various international societies such as the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR). He has also been engaged in various national and international research and has published numerous papers in national and international journals.
He hails from the beautiful town of Banepa and lives with his parents and wife. He is also a proud father of a son.
